Brazilian student Vicente Giaссaglini Ferraro has been interested in Russia since childhood, when he started learning Russian on his own. He is now studying in the Higher School of Economics’ Applied Politics master’s programme. In an interview with the HSE News Service, Vicente discusses what drew him towards Russia, why he chose HSE, and why he is happy when it is cold.

Oxford Professor Visits HSE in Saint Petersburg
At the invitation of the Laboratory of Sociology in Education and Science, renowned sociologist and statistician Tom Snijders is visiting HSE St. Petersburg on March 9-12. Dr. Snijders is a Professor at Oxford University (Great Britain), an emeritus fellow of Nuffield College, and a Professor at the University of Groningen (Netherlands).
HSE to get its own sports center
HSE has been allocated a plot for the construction of a sports center that will be equipped with a swimming pool. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Moscow Urban Planning and Land Commission on March 5.
HSE Design Students’ Animation Videos at TEDxMoscow
On the 15th February the 2015 TEDxMoscow conference took place for which second year students at HSE’s School of Design, and their teacher, Animation Curator, Alexei Ryumin had made videos on the key issues under discussion.
