HSE to Open Department of Geography and Geoinformatics Technology
The department is being created in collaboration with the Institute of Geography at the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and will focus on problems of geoinformatics, climate change and socio-economic development. The department’s first educational programme in geography at HSE may open in 2020.
HSE Opens Laboratory of Financial Data Analysis

HSE and the Ruhr-University Bochum Sign Cooperation Agreement

HSE Faculties of Chemistry and Biology and Biotechnologies to Open Joint Departments with RAS
The HSE Academic Council has approved the establishment of joint departments with five institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) at the new Faculties of Chemistry and Biology and Biotechnologies of HSE. Students will gain access to laboratory equipment and learn how to conduct research and develop new technology and medicines.

Как скажешь (‘If You Say So’), which will launch April 4, is a virtual textbook and workbook built around video clips that feature HSE faculty and students.
HSE Launches India Corner at the School of Asian Studies
On March 19, 2019, HSE hosted a launch ceremony for its new India Corner, which is housed in the School of Asian Studies and will serve as an open space for dialogue and collaboration with regard to Russia-India relations. The Corner will host cultural and scientific events related to the modern development of India, as well as open business seminars between Russia and India.

LG Electronics and the Higher School of Economics have announced the launch of a special collaborative educational project. A new computer classroom will provide students of engineering, industrial design, and computer programming the opportunity to study the most modern tools and methods of design using equipment designed for rapidly developing disciplines and the higher technological demands of their results.
