HSE Launches Joint Double Degree Master’s Programme with Paris-Sorbonne
The Higher School of Economics (HSE) has signed an agreement on establishing a joint double degree master’s programme with the University of Paris-IV (Sorbonne) in partnership with the French University College in Moscow. The agreement is applicable to following master's programmes: Philosophical Anthropology, Historical Knowledge, History of Artistic Culture and the Art Market, and Philosophy and History of Religion.
The French University College, based out of Moscow State University, will serve as the platform for the implementation of the agreement. HSE students enrolled in HSE master's programmes and at French University College will be able to receive French government scholarships for study at Paris-Sorbonne in their second year or continue their studies in Moscow.
In order to receive a double degree, HSE students must present a short summary of their master’s thesis in Russian (12-15 pages) supervised by HSE and the Sorbonne’s academic administration which has been defended in French in either Paris or Moscow.
In order to receive a double degree, French students will study at Paris-Sorbonne in their first year and at HSE and French University College during their second year. They also must prepare a short summary of their master’s thesis in Russian or English supervised by HSE and the Sorbonne’s academic administration.
