publications by authors who use data from the Russia Longitudinal Monitoring Survey of the Higher School of Economics (RLMS-HSE) have been released since 1995.

Approximately 40% of these publications have appeared abroad – from the U.S. and Europe to Australia, Japan and China.

The monitoring survey is a longitudinal household study that is unique for Russia. This international project has been conducted since 1992 by the HSE and ZAO Demoscope, with participation of the Carolina Population Center (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) and the Institute of Sociology under the Russian Academy of Sciences. The current sampling is greater than 8,000 households and 22,000 individuals. The range of questions is quite wide, covering everything from position in the labour market to financial behavior to education, health and reproductive behavior.

All data produced by the monitoring survey are freely accessible at the webpage. Today marks the 22nd time that results of the survey have been published (for year 2013).
